Bren was named Vice President and General Counsel for the University of Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éSystem in October 2025 and previously held the role of Deputy General Counsel. Bren’s practice areas include litigation; faculty and student matters; civil rights issues; public records; insurance; trusts and estates; and constitutional issues. He is a graduate of Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éWesleyan University (B.S.), Doane University (M.A.M), and the University of Ãå±±ÂÖ¼éCollege of Law.
